Write Your Next Chapter...

The first thing that you need to know is that your story is NOT set in stone. You have it within yourself to change the narrative at any time. Understand that the past doesn’t have to dictate your future and how you continue your story is completely up to you.

One of the aims of counselling is to help you find your inner strength so that you can continue your story in the most positive way possible. The fact that you are reading this right now shows that you are aware of this and are looking for ways to move forward. This in itself is a huge step; Probably the most important step of all.

What Is Counselling?

Counselling has a different purpose for everyone. It can bring clarity to a difficult situation that you find yourself in, it can bring purpose and direction for others and it can provide support through exploring events that have impacted yours and other people’s lives around you. Counselling is a ‘talking therapy’ that offers support in your journey through life.

A counselling session or a ‘therapeutic hour’ is usually fifty minutes long and is an agreement between you (the client) and the Therapist that shall depict what you wish to explore in the sessions, as well as which style of counselling would best suit you. Depending on what has brought you to counselling you may experience feeling liberated after a counselling session or you may experience feelings of awareness that may be challenging. But facing these challenges aims to empower you to move forward in your life making positive changes and enabling growth and acceptance to occur.

What Do I Offer?

I offer a safe welcoming space that invites you to tell your story and to be listened to without judgement. I am fully supportive of what ever has brought you here and shall support you throughout your journey.

Life can throw us off balance at times but sometimes all we need to get our balance back is a listening ear in a confidential space. I can offer you aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT); a more directive short term therapy which can include goal setting. I can also incorporate Mindfulness that focuses on awareness of one’s self.

As a pluralistic counsellor, I offer a therapeutic menu of person centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic and systemic counselling. By being able to offer you a variety of different counselling models you are able to choose what works for you, as well as benefiting from other methods if you so choose to change our approach. This means, it is entirely client led that encourages an open dialogue between us, so that you feel comfortable and are getting your preference of support and I know which method to explore with you. Session times and Prices are available to view here.

In addition to the wide variety of Counselling models that I offer, I also offer a range of complimentary therapies including Reiki Healing amongst other alternative practices. Please enquire for further information, as I am always updating my services.

I am a registered member of the British Association For Counselling And Psychotherapy (BACP). It is within the BACP ethical framework that I work with my clients on a one to one basis.

“The biggest wall you have to climb is the one you build in your mind: Never let your mind talk you out of your dreams, trick you into giving up. Never let your mind become the greatest obstacle to success. To get your mind on the right track, the rest will follow.”
